  CUMBERLAND — Elma L. Dolly, 88, of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at home.

Born April 6, 1924, in Ridgeley, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Glen, Sr. and Minnie (Valentine) Sisk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie B. Dolly, Sr.; grandson, William “Billy” White; and eight brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Dolly was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing crossword puzzles. Above all, she loved to spend time with her family.

Surviving are three daughters, Jean Laudermilt, Columbus, Ohio, Kay Stowell, Montross, Va., Jane James and husband Steve, LaVale; three sons, Arlie B. Dolly, Jr., Short Gap, W.Va., Wilbur L. Dolly and wife Kathy, Fayetteville, N.C., Walter L. Dolly and wife Linda, Winchester, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Glen Sisk Jr. and wife Eileen of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., (www.scarpellifh.com) 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Phillip Dayton officiating.

Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery, Flintstone.

NOTE:
A headstone photo will be added at a future date. Her husband is also buried at the Glendale Cemetery.
Neither Elma nor her husband Arlie Britton Dolly, Sr are blood relatives of the Abe Family. She is placed here as a memorial  because their son Arlie B. Dolly, Jr married Wanda Lee Saville, the daughter of  James E. Saville and Erma Bell (Abe) Saville.
